I’ve often thought that having some kind of mapping visualization might be fun to include in the review of the Drum Corps activity. On the map below, you’ll see that I’ve started with a simple map that shows the location of the shows for the 2023 season. You can zoom in and out of the map and click on the markers (the DCI logo icons) to popup the date and location of the show.

The conclusion of the 2023 DCI season gives us the opportunity to look back and see how each performing group improved over the course of the season. While the medals have been handed out for the top three finishing corps we take the opportunity here to give out awards for those that made the biggest improvement over the course of their season. We use a calculation called Delta Score to quantify the tangible progress and performance improvements made by each competing group throughout the season.
